Profile
Liliana Coman is an Assistant Professor within the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University, Physiotherapy Programme. She is also the International Student Coordinator and the Department Education Coordinator in the School of Rehabilitation Science.
Liliana is originally from Romania, where she completed her MD degree at the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. She graduated with a BHSc degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University and completed her Master of Science degree at University of Waterloo.
Liliana now chairs and teaches in the term on Advanced Neurological Practice (Unit IV). She also coordinates part 2 of the Professional Issues course (in Unit II) and the Clinical Lab course in Unit V (Community Health / Community Practice)
Liliana's research interests are in the application of motor control and learning theory to neurological rehabilitation, effects of aging on mobility and disability and the role of physiotherapists in primary health care. She is also a member of the Mobility, Aging and Participation Research Group in the School of Rehabilitation Science.
