Message from the Associate Dean, Patty Solomon

Welcome to the McMaster University School of Rehabilitation Science.

The School of Rehabilitation Science (SRS) has been offering innovative problem-based programs in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy for over 20 years. The  SRS  is launching a new program in Speech-Language Pathology with the first class being admitted in September 2017.  A key strength of the programs is our partnership with the clinical community to ensure that the programs are at the leading edge of clinical practice.

Building on our reputation in innovative education and research, the School of Rehabilitation Science also offers a thesis and an online course based Master degrees and a PhD in Rehabilitation Science. There programs are supported by our talented researchers who are internationally renowned. Students in our Rehabilitation Science thesis and course based programs continue to received highly competitive and prestigious scholarships and awards.

A popular online program established in collaboration with the DeGroote School of Business, is the Master of Health Management. This part-time distance degree utilizes the latest asynchronous, on-line teaching techniques with two short, intensive onsite residency periods to deliver the program. Experts with experience in academia, industry and government teach student the skills needed to solve complex health care problems.

Our programs have an international reputation for preparing leaders who promote excellence in evidence based practice and health care. The small group interactive nature of our educational programs allows graduates to gain skills in collaboration and communication that are foundational to successful careers and promote open student/faculty relationships.

I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our innovative programs, accomplished faculty and ground breaking research. If you require additional information feel free to contact us.
