Lyn Turkstra Receives 4-year Grant from the National Institutes of Health/National Institute for Medical and Rehabilitation Research

Lyn Turkstra is co-investigator on a 4-year grant from the National Institutes of Health/National Institute for Medical and Rehabilitation Research for “Designing Computer-Mediated Communication Supports to Improve Social Participation After Traumatic Brain Injury”.  Co-Principal Investigators are Melissa Duff at Vanderbilt University and Bilge Mutlu at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  The project is a follow-up to a 5-year NIH-funded study, “Social perception and social communication in adults with traumatic brain injury” (Turkstra, PI; Duff and Mutlu, Co-Is), and will translate information about basic impairments into technology supports for adults with TBI.  Award Amount: $1.35m USD.  Congratulations!
