Wenonah Campbell Named the John and Margaret Lillie Chair in Childhood Disability Research

The SRS is pleased to announce Dr. Wenonah Campbell as the recipient of the John and Margaret Lillie Chair in Childhood Disability Research.

Dr. Campbell’s research in inclusive education is very well aligned with the terms of the Chair.  In addition, she has an established strong scholarly track record and her research is recognized provincially, national, and internationally as advancing the agenda of the inclusion of children with disabilities at school.  This agenda is one that is central to the mandate of the Lillie Chair to study the “timely, effective, targeted dissemination of new knowledge, leading edge concepts, innovative clinical practices, and other information that will have an impact on the thinking and activities of providers, policy makers, parents, and community leaders.”

As you may know, Dr. Cheryl Missiuna has held this position for several years in the SRS but retired this summer.

There will be an event in January 2020 to recognize this honour.  In the meantime, please join us in congratulating Dr. Wenonah Campbell.
